Our Program

The Caddie Companions Initiative is a dementia-friendly golf program created to help older adults experiencing memory loss stay active, connected, and engaged through the game they love.

Participants—typically age 50+ and living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or mild cognitive impairment—are paired with caring volunteers to enjoy safe, supported golf experiences, from light play to simply being out on the course together.

At its heart, the program is about preserving dignity, joy, and a sense of belonging, while also offering meaningful moments of respite for caregivers. Each participant is thoughtfully screened and every volunteer completes the Alzheimer’s Association’s essentiALZ training and certification program to ensure a safe, comfortable experience tailored to the participant's abilities and needs.

To participate in our program, you'll need to submit a brief medical questionnaire, a physicians note, signed waivers of liability and media use, and have a short phone conversation with one of our program coordinators.
